Politics heat up following attack on BJP chief by son of Congress committee chairman

Alirajpur (Madhya Pradesh): The BJP and the Congress party have entered into a showdown over the attack on a local BJP official. Both sides contacted the media to express their position.

The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday when BJP District General Secretary and Deputy Chairman of City Council Maku Santosh Parwal was attacked by Pushraj, son of District Congress Committee Chairman Mahesh Patel.

Parwal then went to the police station with his supporters to file a complaint. Supporters of both parties gathered at the police station and compromised after heated discussions after midnight.

After midnight, former BJP MP Nagar Singh Chouhan made a call for a half-day bandh on social media on Monday. To counter it, District Congressional Committee Chairman Mahesh Patel posted a video on social media with a plea not to observe the bandh.

According to reports, Pushpraj called Parwal at his Jain temple office and said he wanted to meet him. When Parwal came out to talk to him, Pushpraj asked him to come to a nearby alley. At this, Parwal said they would meet in the morning and turned to go home. At that moment, Pushpraj pulled his collar and attacked him. Parwal’s friends intervened and rescued him.
