LaTurner representative obtains the missions of the 117th Congress committee


WASHINGTON, DC (WIBW) – In addition to the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Jake LaTurner has received his other committee assignments.

Representative Jake LaTurner says he received his full committee assignments for the 117th Congress.

“I am honored to have been chosen by my colleagues to serve on the Homeland Security Committee, the Oversight and Reform Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee,” said LaTurner.

LaTurner said the issues brought before the Homeland Security Committee will have a direct impact on the state of Kansas and the Second District.

“I look forward to serving on this committee to protect the national security interests of the United States, secure our borders, reduce illegal immigration and prevent drug and human trafficking networks,” said Congressman LaTurner.

Representative LaTurner said he would also sit on the oversight and reform committee to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent appropriately.

“I will hold the Biden administration accountable and implement common sense reforms for the people of my district,” said LaTurner.

LaTurner also said he would sit on the Science, Space and Technology Committee to help ensure the nation continues to lead the world in innovation.

“I look forward to serving on this committee to empower Kansas scientists, engineers and inventors to push the boundaries and unlock new opportunities,” said LaTurner.
