Dr Krishnaveer Singh, who was a Congress government minister, has died, served as an MLA four times in Agra

Agra: Krishnaveer Singh Kaushal, who was a minister in the Congress government, died on Tuesday. He had been ill for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Agra. He breathed his last at the age of 84. Congressional leaders invaded his residence as soon as news of the former minister’s death was received. Dr. Krishnaveer Singh was a four-time MP for Agra Cantonment Headquarters. In 1985, he was a state cabinet minister in the Congress government of Narayan Dutt Tiwari.

Dr. Krishnaveer Singh was an MBBS Doctor in batch 1957. He did his medical education from Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra. Dr. Krishnaveer Singh Kaushal became an MP for the first time in 1974 from the seat of the Agra Cantonment Assembly. After that, in 1977, 1980 and 1985, he continued to win from the cantonment seat. In 1985, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture in the Congress government led by Narayan Dutt Tiwari. Congress State Deputy Speaker Upendra Singh said he had served as a minister on several occasions. During the 2013-14 year, even when he was district president, he continued to guide as an active worker.

Stayed with Congress to the last breath
Coming from the educated class, Dr. Krishnaveer Singh Kaushal was a person of very simple nature. Besides being a doctor, he has done a better job in politics. There is a wave of mourning in politics and medicine as soon as news of his death is received. Crowds of people gathered at his North Idgah Colony residence. Dr. Krishnaveer Singh has two sons, Dr. Agesh Kaushal, Rajesh Kaushal and three daughters. Last year, a girl died. Congress leaders say they have been associated with the Congress party until their last breath.
