Congress government gave 27% reservation to OBC, BJP cheated them, says Sajjan
Ashta (Madhya Pradesh): Former cabinet minister and senior congressman Sajjan Singh Verma has said the BJP is an anti-farmer, anti-youth and anti-women political organization.
Verma was addressing a sit-in organized by the Congress party in Ashta against rising inflation.
He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of banning the export of wheat for the benefit of his selected businessmen. The motive for the export ban is obvious that the businessmen would store the wheat in silos and later resell at high prices to the country’s poor.
He said the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh had completely failed to ensure proper distribution of electricity. They did nothing, all the power plants were put in place. Digvijaya Singh led the Congress government.
“People are facing severe power shortages at a time when electricity is essential. This is happening because of the mismanagement of the BJP government,” Verma said.
He further said that the Kamal Nath-led government reserved 27% of the OBC, but the BJP-led government reduced it to 14%. “It’s a conspiracy against the OBC people,” he said.
Former City Chairman Kailash Parmar, Dr. Meena Vineet Singh, Former District Chairman Bal Bahadur Singh, Bhagat, Deputy District Congress Chairman Kamal Singh Pehelwan, Former Block Congress Chairman Meherban Singh Mundi Khedi and other Congressional leaders were also present on the occasion.
