Block Congress Committee distributes rations to Covid-positive villagers in Ngopok village



The Bloc Congress Committee as well as the Mebo Covid surveillance team distributed basic rations to Covid positive patients, young village guards and health workers (ASHA) on June 5 at the front door from the village of Ngopok.

The rations included rice, potatoes, legumes, eggs, Horlicks, sugar, tea bags, a face mask and disinfectants. While ASHA workers received cash assistance of Rs 1,000 each, including disposal caps, face shields, masks and disinfectants. Young people in the village (Mosup Yameng) received Rs 10,000 in addition to 2,300 masks and 350 disinfectants for the villagers in general, informed Oge Mitkong, BCC Mebo Advertising Unit.

The team also handed over 10 numbers of PPE kits and 10 numbers of face shields to the Borguli primary health center, which caters to health services in the area.

It is worth mentioning that the rations, covid protection items and cash assistance were given to the Ngopok village containment area, covid patients and others at the initiative of Lombo Tayeng, Member of Parliament for Mebo.

The item distribution program was led by BCCI Mebo Block secretary Karo Moyong and office secretary Maklung Apum.
