Abia APC Says National Congress Committee Wanted, As Committee Applauds Election
Congress of Progressives (APC) Abia state president Donatus Nwankpa said on Saturday he wanted the Israel-led party’s national headquarters committee Sunny Goli, sent to hold parish congresses in the state.
Nwankpa revealed this when informing reporters at the party secretariat in Umuahia, saying the committee headed by Goli had fled with those he called disgruntled party elements to scuttle APC activities.
He argued that legal disputes that threaten the validity of the APC National Working Committee have not affected its executive, so those who have come for Congress have come to cultivate crisis and chaos by failing to identify with each other. not to his team who had files on those who were aspiring to ward leadership.
According to Nwankpa, the APC in Abia did not have a faction and stressed that it was a mistake for the national committee not to send the names of the committee members, while efforts to reach them by calls and texts turned out to be aborted.
He urged party supporters to come and organize their congress and come back with the results.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the National Parish Congress Committee for Abia, Israel Sunny Goli, said he had organized a free and transparent ward congress.
Speaking to Umuahia after following the congress, he said that all members attended, adding that “whoever boycotted the congress was alone”.
Also speaking after monitoring his neighborhood, the Evingodo neighborhood in Umunneochi, the member representing Isuikwuato / Umunneochi in the National Assembly, the Hon. Nkeiru Onyejeocha expressed his enthusiasm that everything went well.
